What should I do if the exhaust pipe emits white & blue smoke?

   一、White smoke from the exhaust pipe

   There is water in the diesel oil or water in the cylinder liner, and the hydration becomes steam and is discharged from the exhaust pipe, that is, white smoke is emitted. The main causes of white smoke from diesel engines and the elimination methods are:

   1. If there is water mixed in diesel oil, check whether there is water mixed in diesel oil;

  2. Improper adjustment of fuel supply advance angle

   When the fuel supply advance angle is too small and the temperature of the diesel engine is not high, part of the fuel is discharged with the exhaust gas before it is burned, and the removed oil mist forms a white gas. When the heat engine is under heavy load, the temperature of the combustion chamber and the exhaust pipe will increase, and the diesel that cannot be completely burned in the combustion chamber will continue to decompose in the exhaust pipe, which will form black smoke and be discharged. Check whether the fuel supply time is appropriate.

   3. Poor atomization of the injector

   If the injector is not well sealed, atomized or even drips, the oil entering the cylinder is too late to mix and burn, and white smoke will be exhausted. If the fuel injector drips severely or multiple fuel injectors drip, diesel fuel will flow into the oil pan, diluting the oil. The injector should be tested, and the needle valve assembly should be replaced if necessary.

  4, water in the cylinder liner

   Cylinder head gasket is broken, connecting water passage or cylinder liner cracks, so that cooling water constantly penetrates into the cylinder. When exhausting, the discharged hot air evaporates or dissipates to form water mist or water vapor, which is discharged as white smoke. At this time, if you put white paper on the outlet of the exhaust pipe, small water droplets will be sprayed on it. The cause of the leak should be checked.

   It should be noted: When the diesel engine is running cold, the exhaust pipe continuously emits white smoke. This phenomenon is more common when using diesel engines in cold winters. This is because the temperature in the cylinder of the diesel engine is low, and the vapor on the cylinder wall evaporates out with the exhaust pipe, and the exhaust pipe also emits white water vapor due to the moisture entering the exhaust pipe after the shutdown. However, if white smoke is still emitted after the engine is warmed up, it is a malfunction.

   二、Blue smoke from the exhaust pipe

   Blue smoke from the dfsk exhaust pipe is a characteristic of oil burning. The main reasons and elimination methods are:

   1. The oil level is too high. The oil level should be checked, and the oil should be filled according to the regulations.

  2. The piston ring and the cylinder liner are too large or the piston ring is aligned. The cylinder pressure should be checked. If the cylinder pressure is too low, the piston ring should be disassembled. If necessary, reassemble the four sets or replace the piston ring.

   3. The gap between the valve stem and the valve guide is too large or the valve oil seal is damaged. Check the valve oil seal and valve fitting clearance, and replace the valve oil seal or valve guide if necessary.

   4. The turbocharger is damaged and oil leaks. This situation is mostly caused by sudden blue smoke from the diesel engine, and the turbocharger should be overhauled or the turbocharger oil seal ring should be replaced.
